Pro splicing kit comes with 5 threading needles, a loop splicing needle and a reverse latch needle that will make splicing 80lb through 200lb test mono easy. Individual needles are available to handle monofilament lines up to 500lb. Just heat the mono line at the tip and insert it into the end of the proper needle. Using the proper tools makes for strong clean connections when making wind on leaders or just plain splicing hollow core lines. The kit includes 5 Threading Needles, (80#, 100#, 130#, 150#, 200#), 1 Medium Loop Splicing Needle, and 1 Medium Reverse Latch Needle.

This works perfectly. Save yourself some $ over time making your own wind-on leaders and you can make them with any material you like using these needles. I really like 200# Yo-Zuri fluorocarbon as material on 200# hollow core, but that's nearly impossible to find and super expensive when you do. With this set you can make them yourselves. Only complaint would be for them to sell a complete set with large and small latch needles. Not a big deal, just ordered other parts separately, but one kit would be nice since you are not always dealing with 200# hollow-core. Will need small needle for 60# and I'd recommend smaller for 80# HC as well.
