Well, I've purchased other non toxic, non stick pans and they were okay, but it was now time to replace my main pan as ithad some of the coating chip off and in my search I found this pan. What I like about this pan is that it is a substantial pan...it has substantial heft/weight to it. So I felt that it was going to have good heat distribution and it does. Takes a little bit to heat up, but once it does it cooks nice and evenly. I also like the sides of the pan, it has good depth to the pan so when you stir something, you don't have to worry (unless you have it really full) that you are going to spill your food out over the sides. I wasn't initially sure if I would like that as I wasn't sure how it would be for transferring food from the pan to a dish, but there is no problem for me with that.Also because the pan does have some heft to it, it's really nice that it has a helper hold on the other side of the pan so you can carry it more easily if it is very full and/or heavy.So far I really love this pan and I hope it continues to perform like this for many years. The only con is that it didn't come with a lid. I wish it had that option, so I'm using a lid from another pan that doesn't fit perfectly but will do the job.
