Well I'm no expert, but I'd have to say that - overall - there's nothing wrong with the quality of gems and metals being used here. The central (pink) sapphire is large enough, and nicely faceted; there are plenty of (smaller) diamonds surrounding the main gemstone - and even if they are comparatively dull, this only serves to emphasise the sapphire's own brilliance even more; and that silver-looking chain actually isn't silver at all - it's manufactured from 9ct white gold.The only downside I can see (if you can call it a downside) is that the pendant attracts so many admiring glances and enquiries that the wearer does have to continually explain that the central stone is a sapphire, despite its pinkness, and not an anaemic ruby!All in all, this looks to be a quality piece of jewellery at a very reasonable price. If you want to stand out from the crowd - buy it!
